Malaysian property market to improve, say experts at PropertyGuru Malaysia Real Estate Summit 2017
PropertyGuru brought together industry leaders from across the region to discuss the prognosis and shape the future of Malaysia’s real estate market
Real estate industry leaders and experts gathered at the inaugural PropertyGuru Malaysia Real Estate Summit held today (16 August 2017) at the InterContinental Kuala Lumpur. The event, themed ‘Shaping the future of Malaysian real estate’, was keynoted by YB Dato’ Lee Chee Leong, Malaysia’s Deputy Finance Minister, and Datuk Seri FD Iskandar bin Mohamed Mansor, president of REHDA.
In delivering his keynote address, YB Dato’ Lee Chee Leong said: “It has been a great privilege to have been invited as a keynote speaker at the 2017 PropertyGuru Malaysia Real Estate Summit. I applaud PropertyGuru for having successfully set the right mission, and provide a platform for the finest minds and most dynamic individuals in the region’s property industry to come together to inspire innovation, overcome obstacles and promote excellence around the region.”
The Malaysian Deputy Finance Minister added: “It is clear from the stimulus measures taken by the Malaysian Government that we understand the critical role a strong property and construction sector plays in our economy and in securing our long term sustainable economic development.”
Over twenty real estate, finance and government experts contributed their knowledge and experience during interactive and engaging sessions at the event intended for key decision makers and C-level executives from leading property companies and related organisations. The speakers addressed local, regional and global property trends as well as key challenges in real estate development, investment and industry growth.

- “Meet the CEO’s: our 10 year real estate vision” panel moderated by Prem Kumar, executive director, Jones Lang Wootton
