2025 colour trends in architecture: Embracing earth tones and vibrant hues
Unlike the 2024 Color of the Year selections, the 2025 picks reveal more commonalities among the colours chosen by major paint industry leaders. Each year, designers and enthusiasts from various fields gather within companies worldwide to reignite the conversation about colour and its connection to contemporary culture. For the 2025 forecast, ArchDaily reports that earth tones seem to be the big winners: Pantone’s Mousse Chocolate is joined by cinnamon, brown, and burgundy shades from Benjamin Moore, Graham & Brown, Behr, and C2 Paint. Companies like AkzoNobel, Valspar, and Comex opted for more vibrant colours to celebrate optimism and joy, while Sherwin-Williams and Jotun didn’t limit themselves to a single colour. Instead, they introduced entire palettes centred on tranquillity and relaxation. These concepts appear to be the guiding themes for 2025.
AI boosts server revenue growth despite market challenges
CONTEXT, a market intelligence firm, has forecast significant growth for server revenues and expressed a more cautious outlook for storage and networking in the fourth quarter of 2024. Gurvan Meyer, Business Analyst at CONTEXT, stated in DataCenterNews Asia, “Server revenue sales exceeded expectations in the third quarter of 2024, growing by 22.9 percent year-on-year, driven by strong AI server platform demand. Generative AI infrastructure investments are reshaping the market, with AI server platforms now commanding 13.5 percent of the server market share, up from just 1 percent last year. This growth, combined with renewed distributor sales to large corporate resellers, is creating positive momentum for the server market.”
Duplex condos: What they are and the benefits of buying one in Malaysia
If you’re looking to buy a new home, you might have heard of “duplex condos.” A duplex condo in Malaysia is a two-storey condominium that offers the spaciousness of a landed property, all within the convenience of a high-rise building. With impressive ceilings reaching up to the second floor, these unique units create a wonderful sense of openness and light. Inside, a staircase connects the two levels, which typically include a kitchen, a living room, and two to three bedrooms. The upper floor often serves as a versatile space, perfect for a cosy bedroom or a functional home office. PropertyGuru Malaysia explains what duplex condos are, highlights the benefits of buying one, and lists 10 duplex condos you must check out.
