She presently leads the FireCheck Project, a Department of Science of Technology–Philippine Council for Industry, Energy and Emerging Technology Research and Development (DOST-PCIEERD) funded project, that aims at providing the local government administrators and the fire bureau with timely and relevant information about at-risk communities to mitigate fire disasters. The project does this by generating Fire Hazard and Risk Maps, developing 3D Community Maps that can be accessed through mobile devices and simulating the spread of community fire. With the plethoraof informationand insights that can be extracted from the software applications, fire disastermitigation, government spending and interventions can be targeted to when and where these will be needed.
