Shaishav Dharia is the CEO – Townships and Rental Assets, Lodha Group – India’s largest real estate developer. He has been with the Lodha Group for the last 10 years. His portfolio within the Lodha Group includes: Palava – Spread over 2,000 hectares, Palava is India’s answer to urbanisation challenges and and amongst the largest private real estate projects in the world; New Cuffe Parade – a 10MM sft mixed use city centre development; Commercial and Retail portfolio across Lodha Group projects with plans for development of 9MM sft in the next 5 years.
PALAVA is India’s first integrated smart and green city being developed by the Lodha Group within the Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR). In just 7 years, more than 28,000 homes has been sold in and existing population of 80,000 people and expected to reach 500,000 by 2025. Recently, JLL ranked Palava as the #1 emerging city in India. Palava aims to address urbanisation and infrastructure challenges by being developed as a truly waking city – offices, schools, retail and parks within 5/10/15 minutes from every neighbourhood. Additionally, Palava has been designed as a truly smart and green city with 60% open spaces, 25% green spaces, sustainable infrastructure and smart technologies for city operations that ensure high level of service at optimal costs. Palava is now focused on building a $10 billion economy by 2025 – this will include focus on economic verticals like a new commercial business district, industrial and logistics parks, education, media, medical and family entertainment.
Prior to joining the Lodha Group, Mr. Dharia was an Associate Principal with McKinsey and Company and a leader in the operations practice. At McKinsey, he served clients across a range of industries that include real estate, high-tech, retail and technology among others. Earlier, he was the Vice President of Consulting with Logic Tools, which is now an IBM company. He was also involved with KPMG Consulting as Manager of consumer and industrial markets.
