Dennis Martin

Group CEO, CTOS Holding

Dennis Martin is currently the Group CEO of CTOS Holding, the parent company of Malaysia’s leading credit reporting agency; CTOS Data Systems Sdn Bhd.

Dennis started his career in the banking industry and has over 17 years’ experience in a variety of senior roles in both credit and retail.

After leaving the Banking industry he joined what was Baycorp (now Equifax), led the NZ Credit Bureau and became a founding member of their International expansion team with direct involvement in rolling out bureau across Asia Pacific working in Malaysia, Singapore and the Pacific Islands.
In 2005 Dennis was headhunted by Experian (the world’s largest credit bureau) and was tasked with establishing their Credit Bureau presence in Asia based in Hong Kong and later Singapore. As the Managing Director of Credit Services for Experian Asia Pacific he was successful in both organic and inorganic expansion and represented Experian as a Board member in 5 companies within the Asian region. He later took on the role of Managing Director South East Asia for Experian with P&L ownership across all business lines for Experian in that region.

Dennis returned to NZ in 2013 to be closer to family and joined Dun & Bradstreet as its Managing Director and was a Board member of Dun & Bradstreet (New Zealand). At the conclusion of the acquisition of D&B ANZ by Private Equity, Dennis left D&B to start his own consultancy business, MicDan Consulting. He had been engaged by banks and other organisations across Australia/NZ on developing and implementing a range of data related strategies that have driven significant growth, lowered costs and improved credit and risk processes. He then joined CTOS and moved to Malaysia in June 2017.

Dennis has spoken at numerous global conferences and engagements including with the IFC (the financial division of the World Bank). He has been called on as an expert in credit and data for both private companies and Governments including Central Banks throughout the Asia Pacific region.
