Francis served in the Singapore civil service for 8 years before joining the real estate industry in 2009, starting out rank and file as a salesperson. A graduate of the Nanyang Technological University, he distinguished himself from his early days as a project agent, closing almost 45 units of project sales within a span of one year.

Years on, despite being tasked with developing the agency aspect of the business, as the Vice-President (Agency), he was able to rank 5th position in personal sales amongst the company’s 650 agents in 2014/5. He was also a Top 5 performer for Year 2015/6 and 2016/7 despite relinquishing his annual award rankings to give way to the company’s younger agents to shine. With a keen eye for data and trends, acquired through his undergraduate studies in aerospace engineering and later in the civil service, he was able to fuse the administrative know-hows of his public sector experience with the nimble thinking required of the private sector and was one of the key players responsible for the growth of the agency in the local projects marketing scene.

He assumed the appointment of CIO in SCOTIA Real Estate Group in January 2015 and is responsible for
overseeing and growing the company’s key assets and regional investments in Indonesia, Cambodia and China. He also heads the Investment Sales department, serving as a consultant to developers on en-bloc sales and land purchases spanning from the Commercial to Residential sectors. He is also particularly passionate about the development of Singapore through a historical and urban planning perspective and is a highly sought after speaker on the same subject.
